Hey everyone!! First off let me say how excited I am to be meeting y'all - I am SUPER excited! Secondly...I'm Aubre Lindsay and I was born and raised in the city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana :) Yayyy south! A little bit about me: I am currently enrolled in Southeastern Louisiana University, it's the second largest university in Louisiana...I think! Hah! I am 19 years old but by the time we all meet up in Atlanta I will be the big 2-0! This is my second trip with AIM; my first trip was to Israel last summer and my team leader was Nick Hindes! Yayy Nick!! Isreal was amazing and God started working in my life and the whole team the first few minutes of meeting eachother in Atlanta and continued to work in us throughout the whole trip...and is still working through us even now :) He kinda never stops...which is the amazing part of walking with Him! Any whooo I love love love food and the outdoors, especially a nice breezy day :), and laughter!! Soo that's pretty much all about me! But the HUGE question is...

Why am I going to New Zealand??

          Well to answer that question - I was praying about what God would have me do over this summer - whether I was to go on a missions trip or not or if I was just to stay home this summer and not go anywhere. Well I left all of these "questions" at the feet of Jesus and I waited...and waited and waited, I think through all of this, God was also trying to teach me a little patience! HAH! Anyways...I felt God was drawing me to go on a missions trip and so the second question was: Where does God want to send me? So I looked up AIM and saw New Zealand...right away I felt the Lord drawing me to go there but I wanted to make sure! So I laid it at His feet again and did some more waiting. During this time I was also praying about leading a trip to Africa! I was sooo wanting to go back to Africa (I went on a missions trip there about 3 years ago with a different organization) and wanted to go back really bad but I really felt that God wasn't drawing me there and then one night...God showed me...He wanted me to go to New Zealand and I couldn't have been happier!! I know that God has some BIG plans for us and I can not wait to see Him work through all of us with His mighty hands! It is going to be amazing and I am so excited!

        Sooo in saying all of this - get on some blogs people :) I want to meet all of y'all and see what God did in your life and how He showed you that you were meant to come on this team!
